See your doctor: Could b anything. Depends on where pain located and other symptoms. See your pcp to refer u for appropriate testing which could be lab work plus or minus imaging

Need help here: The key to your answer is in the definition of "bad" abdominal pain. if you are awakening from sleep due to pain, your symptoms don't come and go but are unchanging and ever present (or are actually worsening) then it is unlikely you have irritable bowel syndrome. Have food intolerances been considered? What tests have been accomplished? What medications tried? Need a little help here from you--
