Uric acid: Whether or not you need to lower your uric acid level depends on whether it is causing problems. The main issue with a high uric acid level is the possibility of having gout attacks. If you are not having negative effects from the elevated uric acid then it is called "asymptomatic hyperuricaemia" and it is generally not felt to be necessary to treat it. Follow-up with your doctor to discuss.
