No: Sleeping pills should be used for only a brief time and for a stressful situation which is not normal. Sleeping pills alter the stages of sleep and quickly lose their efficacy creating "rebound insomnia" where one goes to seep briefly but then awakens and cannot sleep. The Stanford Sleep Center is a world expert on sleep and advises against sleeping pills. See their recommendations for more info.
