In myself &others i know l locally here in south many drs prescribe ventolin inhalers first if that doesn't help enuf they go to steroid inhaler,why?

Ventolin - a beta agonist medication - helps relax the smooth muscle lining your airways and allows for improved airflow dynamics. For some people they have a limited response to this type of medicine and inhaled steroids(which have more side effects) can address airway inflammation which can also contribute.
