May be a scratch: A scratched cornea can feel like a foreign body, but it is just the scratch that causes pain. As long as the object was something like dirt, sand, a bug, etc you should be OK. If it was something that could have PENETRATED the eyeball (a spark, a piece of metal) you need to see a doc ASAP. Flushing with saline was correct, you can continue this. You should feel better in am, if not, see a doc.
