Does mild degeneration of the spine mean there is arthritis present. i have been having back pains on and off for a few days?

No: everyones spine has degeneration over time. This does not mean that is the source of your back pain. Very frequently it is our lack of fitness and how we sit daily that contributes the most to back pain.

Yes..: I would consider "mild degeneration" to potentially mean there is mild arthritis present, yes, especially if you're symptomatic.

Mild degeneration : Yes. Mild degeneration means age appropriate changes are present. We men get older , women get wiser but we both pay same price - on and off back ache.
