No,of course not: The proper initial feeding for all infants is breast milk. Period!

Not here: Not all mothers breast feed their babies. However at least in the us, most women who are open to breastfeeding , provide it independent of the child's gender. I tried to research if there were gender differences in either breast feeding or wet nursing in other cultures - but so far found nothing.
