What kind of rupture: What kind of rupture did you have? I don't understand where your hematoma is- on the skin or internal? This makes a big difference in what you should be doing for self-care. If it's a skin hematoma, rest, ice, elevation, compression, and acetaminophen or ibuprofen for pain are mainstays. If internal, rest and avoiding situations where you could rebleed are probably the most important things.
