Xanax (alprazolam) and a rash?: Xanax, (alprazolam) a benzodiazepine that may be prescribed for anxiety, is unlikely to cause a rash. If you had just started Xanax, (alprazolam) and you developed a new rash, it would seem more likely that the two were somehow linked. In any event, any new rash should be brought to the attention of your primary care doc. Make sure to mention any new meds u've started. Give him/her a buzz & be well :)
