Parotitis: Common remedies include heat to area, massage, saliva stimulants like sour candy, and lots of fluids. Sometimes an antibiotic is required, so see an ENT for treatment. Occasionally, there can be obstruction of the ducts with a stone, but relatively rare in parotitis.
