Ears pierced 1 month. are still steel starter studs, never removed them. i clean 3 times a day with alchohol. 2 days swollen but no pain/pus/red. why?

Ear lobes and studs: Two thoughts come to mind, or possibly three. First might be a mild, delayed allergic reaction to a metal (commonly nickel) in the studs. Secondly it may be that you are causing irritation by cleaning them excessively and it might actually be better to clean them less often. Thirdly might be a very early infection, though I am less concerned about that possibility.
