A member asked:

Can a high thyroid perox ab tpo level give a thyroglobulin reading a false result?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: Hi. No, TPO antibodies do NOT interfere with measurement of thyroglobulin. Perhaps you're thinking of thyroglobulin antibodies, which definitely CAN interfere with the assay to measure thyroglobulin. Since you have a history of papillary thyroid CA and Hashimoto's, your risk of having thyroglobulin antibodies is relatively high. If Tg Ab is negative and TPO Ab is positive, however, no worries.
