My lab work came back and it says i have high cortisol. my next appt is in a month - is there anything i can do on my own to lower it?

No: Hi. If you have Cushing's Disease or Syndrome, there's nothing you can do on your own to lower the cortisol. What cortisol was high? 24-hour urine cortisol? AM cortisol after dexamethasone suppression? How far along in the Cushing's work up are you? Best of luck!

Expected high cortisol results since bipolar, told 3/13 saliva test (1.94 mcg/dl, 11pm) unreliable. 6/13 labs = 8am blood 5.9, dexameth. Supp. (1mg) 0.8, 24 hr free urine 7.1. Why low now if bipolar?
