Nerve injury: You may have suffered injury to the medial nerve which innervates the three digits on the pinky side from recent injury or possible carpel tunnel syndrome.Use Ibuprofen to decrease inflammation or any pain you may have. These usually resolve with time though you have had residual numbness. A nerve conduction study by a neurologist can provide info. OTC Wrist splints can help in carpel tunnel.
