PCOS: Women with intermenstrual intervals >35 days are oligoovulatory (not ovulating monthly) and may require weight loss and/or ovulation induction agents to conceive.. However, lifestyle changes such as weight loss and exercise should be instituted after diagnosis, as lower BMI(weight) is associated with an improved likelihood of ovulation and conception.
