Ischemia: Acute ischemia is potentially reversible, but I suspect that what they found on your CT scan are chronic changes due to small vessel vascular disease. These changes represent damage already done and cannot be reversed. However, this is a relatively common age related finding, and depending on the severity may not result in any significant impairment.
