Serious withhdrawal: from benzodiazepine/diazepam can lead to seizures..even fatal ones. Withdrawal from opiates can feel bad but is less likely to cause serious harm. BUT, the serious withdrawal is rare to start after 3-5 days after withdrawal; it can, but it's rare. BUT, psychological dependence, changes in the nervous system DOES persists for a LONG time after withdrawal of sedatives. cannot say in your particulars
