Had sgmoidoscopy due to diarrhea waiting on microbiopsy results taking imodium (loperamide) as still have diarrhea how long do i have to take this.

Until symptoms gone: Imodium (loperamide) should be used only for the duration of your symptoms. Infectious causes should be ruled out and drugs that can cause diarrhea, Metformin among others, should be on hold. Hopefully, biopsies will reveal the cause of your diarrhea.
