Tooth infection: Do not treat yourself. Please see a dentist and get this diagnosed and treated properly and safely. An antibiotic alone will not cure your infection.

Good, but ......: It will work, but the decision about which antibiotic is best is based on an exam, history, other factors. The antibiotic you suggest may be too much, or may be just right. The dosage is critical for resolution of the infection. See a dentist, and there are several good ones in Jackson, Tn.
