A member asked:

Mucoperiosteal thickening (applying to post meningioma resection) what does this mean and affects?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Meningioma: Discuss with the neurosurgeon. Mucoperiosteal thickening is usually due to infection or inflammation of the nasal sinuses. Is this a separate issue or does the meningioma extend into the sinuses? Did removal of the tumor lead to a skull defect and drainage of cerebrospinal fluid.
