A member asked:

After a successful chiari malformation surgery, can the cerebellum tonsils re slip?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Chairi malformation: Yes. Scar tissue can compress the cerebellar tonsils and lead to recurrent symptoms. However this is uncommon and more likely is that you have arthritis in your neck that is mimicking the symptoms of a Chiari malformation. A complete neurological examination and an MRI of the cervical spine will provide some answers for you.
