Hematologist: Perhaps you would feel more reassured if you consulted a hematologist about the significance of your White blood cell count.

Hi WBC: Hi. If you've had high WBC for A FEW YEARS, coming back in 3 months won't change that. Leukemia is a district possibility. Which WBC subset is elevated (e.g., lymphocytes, granulocytes, monocytes, etc.)? Do you have any enlarged lymph nodes? I would plan on leucocyte immunophenotyping and a bone marrow biopsy. Best of luck.

Listen to oncologist: Good to know you do not have blood Cancer. If your WBC has been higher than the normal level for 4 years and they just want to monitor closely, it is a god sign. There are different types of WBC. I also noticed you have "bleeding " problem,. This may be related to your blood disorder. Glad that you have " blood doctor" watching over the condition. They are expert in this condition.
