How come every time i eat soup my throat hurts/burns till i drink something ? it happens with every type of soup !

Is it hot?: Maybe it is the temperature of the liquid (soup) and not necessarily the fact that it's soup, and then when you drink something cooler, it soothes the area. Just a guess. Doubt it is actually the fact that it is "soup."

Esophagitis?: If Acidic or Hot liquid is irritant to your throat, then try H2 Blocker like Pepcid or Zantac (ranitidine) twice daily or Omeprazole OTC for 2 weeks. Some times there is Esophageal spasm can also cause Dysmotility and pain in swallowing. Acid reflux can be a possibility but at your age it is less likely. If not better after2 weeks of H2 blocker, talk to your doctor
