How come every time i eat soup my throat hurts/burns till i drink something ? it happens with every type of soup !

Maybe it is the temperature of the liquid (soup) and not necessarily the fact that it's soup, and then when you drink something cooler, it soothes the area. Just a guess. Doubt it is actually the fact that it is "soup."

If Acidic or Hot liquid is irritant to your throat, then try H2 Blocker like Pepcid or Zantac (ranitidine) twice daily or Omeprazole OTC for 2 weeks. Some times there is Esophageal spasm can also cause Dysmotility and pain in swallowing. Acid reflux can be a possibility but at your age it is less likely. If not better after2 weeks of H2 blocker, talk to your doctor
