A member asked:

Lp-pla2 is very "high." what would a cardiologist or other m.d. say or do about this on a typical basis?

Lp-PLA2 shows: That there IS some (specifically) vascular inflammation going on. Generally it's a sign that the epithelium over some plaque is inflammed enough that the plaque can start seeping through that epithelium and could, possibly, at the point that it is unstable enough to break off and cause a stroke or heart attack. I would recommend getting tested for: Lp(a), ApoB, ApoE, LDL-P, BNP, & carotid IMT ASAP
