Infection: Reasons to return to the doctor include worsening symptoms, lack of improvement, fever or other systematic symptoms, red streaking along the extremity., or any other concerns. You would certainly want to continue the antibiotics unless told otherwise, but perhaps your doctor could ensure the pathogen is susceptible to the chosen antibiotic.
