Prenatal Care: It is not common practice to screen patients for brain aneurysms unless there are significant symptoms like severe headaches and visual disturbance, or a string family history. Most strokes during pregnancy are complications of uncontrolled high blood pressure. This is monitored closely at each prenatal visit so that if found it can be treated before a stroke occurs.
