How can one prevent a secondary stroke. my boyf had a partial stroke which affected his brain, but it was minor, he recovered quick. how can we preven?

Depends: Depends on cause. If from atherosclerosis, Aspirin and lipid reducing drugs are effective. If there is a clotting disorder or heart arrhythmia with risk of forming blood clots, a "blood thinner" may be needed. If there is a high grade blockage in one of the carotid arteries to the brain , carotid surgery or angioplasty with stenting could be indicated.
