If recent consider: Sometimes this 'funny feeling' may be the first and only indication of a shingles infection (zoster) which is a painful reactivation of the same virus that causes chickenpox. This can be very painful and problematic particularly in this location. If you are prone to outbreaks or have had only chickenpox vaccine, look for rash or seek treatment if concerned in order to prevent PROBLEM.
