No: Bacterial vaginosis, while increasing the risk of preterm delivery, does not mean it will absolutely happen. There is little evidence it has any effect on miscarriage rates. If you have chronic BV or recurrent bouts of the condition, then you need to talk to your OB about your concerns with regard to pregnancy problems and options for treatment.
