Very less likely BV causes pre-term labor. Yes, it is considered a topical treatment, medication not absorbed so it is safe for pregnancy.

I have recurring Bacterial Vaginosis. I use intimate wash everyday externally. Ive gone to doctor several times and Ive been prescribed Metrogel, metronidazole, Vagiforte, etc. but it always seems to come back after I finish the course ?
I was tested positive for my first bv and was given a 5 days treatment of metrogel. A few days after the treatment, I noticed a cottage cheese like discharge. Now I'm given a diflucan and 7 days metronidazole pills. Is dark urine the side effect?
