Scaphoid Fracture: A chip fracture off the scaphoid means that you avulsed a ligament from the bone. Because of the ligamentous support of the scaphoid's significant role in maintaining the stability of the wrist, this needs to be thoroughly evaluated and treated as vigorously as a regular fracture. Make sure the surgeon who is evaluating you has significant experience in treating wrist problems.
