Low back pain: Back pain can result from a multitude of factors, but is commonly related to disorders of the intervertebral disc. Premature degeneration of the disc can, in fact, be related to repetitive and/or excessive loads (e.g., weight) placed upon the disc. Weight loss, aerobic conditioning, and core strengthening can all help mitigate the risk of pathologic disc disorders. Lean and mean is the way to go.
