Depends: This is a highly debated topic. Usual lab reference normals are 30-50. Some argue this is too low, and say 50-80 should be normal. Measuring your levels twice a year isn't unreasonable especially if your taking higher levels. For a standard adult dosing higher than 2,000 units a day may be necessary. Doing so under medical guidance should be considered.
