When was her surgery: and what type of hernia? See your surgeon or personal doctor to ensure she is not resting completely as she might have a blood clot. Is she having any chest pain or any shortness of breathing? Sorry, with limited information and no exam findings, this would be the most prudent thing to do. Good Luck.
