Great Question: There has been some data for several years now suggesting N.A.C. as an alternative medicine for treatment-resistant OCD. As there are no formal guidelines on its use, it would be best to find a local psychiatrist who is experienced in OCD TX and especially one comfortable with N.A.C. Lexapro (escitalopram) generally plays well with other medicines, though it is always worth a double check.
