A member asked:

Have had orangish stool for 3 weeks. liver funtion test good. dr does not seem concered. what could cause this?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Stool color: Stool color is essentially a mixture of ingested food material and bile. Bile can give stool a color variation from green to brown and sometimes orange. Light clay colored stool are the cause of concern as they may indicate a disruption in bile excretion, such as hepatitis or pancreatic cancer.
