Get second opinion: Many bad tibial fractures can take 6 months (and sometimes longer) to heal. Depending on the kind of fracture it was, this can determine whether or not your ortho doc decides a cast or boot is appropriate, although they almost always want you in physical therapy during the healing process, especially when you do start to walk again.If you're not comfortable with your treatment get a second opinion
