Eustacian tube: This is a tube that links the nasopharynx (back of the throat) to the middle ear. Allergies, and/or congestion in the Eustacian tube can cause your symptoms.

Not ET: Pain referred to the ear from the throat is unlikely to be be Eustachian tube. I would make sure that there is no inflammatory disease in the lateral wall of the throat that is more likely referred to the ear.
