Nerve pain: Radiating pain from a degenerative spine travels in the direction of the nere that is being irritated or compressed. If T11 or T12, this would radiate into the flank and to the front near the belly button (may feel like painful rib). If the spinal canal is very narrowed, legs can be affected as well.
