A member asked:

I had a boil on the labia a few months ago and when swabbed found it was mrsa, i now have another, will i always be susceptible to them and the mrsa?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

MRSA: With high probability you are colonized in the nose, back of throat and on your skin with this organism, and the potential for recurrent infections is there. You can attempt to be decolonized using nasal ointment with Mupirocin (Bactroban) combined with washing and bathing ONLY with soap containing Chlorhexidine (if you then use regular soap you will wash off the film and go back to original issue
