Clotimizole is very: specific for certain fungal rashes only whereas there are a myriad of things that can cause a pruritic (itchy) rash. Your description of the rash makes it sound urticarial or angioedema. Try antihistamine OTC first so long as you have no other symptoms. If it fails or you develop new symptoms see your doctor.

Rash: This can't be diagnosed with the information that is available. A history, physical examination & other studies may be needed to determine cause/causes. Once accurately assessed a treatment plan can be developed.
