U may have injured. : ..either the xyfoid or even have a small compression fracture of the sternum or injured the articular cartilages at the level of the attachments 2 the sternum. These will not show up on x-rays. A CT can show a fracture, but usually there is no treatment, especially if a 1 cortex compression. Same with the sprained attachments @ the sternum. Ice NSAIDS, rest activity modification & tincture of time
