A member asked:

I'm going to have a picc line soon to treat lyme disease. i've recently begun feeling well enough to resume taking ballet classes. will it be safe to continue the ballet arm movements?

As long as...: As long as no movement of the arm will possible grab any part of the PICC line exterior (anything you can see on the outside), you should be fine. I would suggest though minimizing movements however. Better safe than sorry.

PICC line healing: Once the line has been placed and completely healed, it should not prevent you from enjoying ballet classes. Get clearance from your surgeon before resuming activities.
