Other possible cause: A "perfect bullseye rash" is highly likely to be lyme's. But bullseye rashes can be a symptom of another condition, like erythema multiforme. Depends on treatment: Most "lyme-literate" docs know that a bullseye rash is a clear sign of lyme and esp.If you have lyme symptoms may be sufficient for diagnosis, but most will want to test you not only for lyme but co-infections like babesia & bartonella. A neg. Elisa means nothing; i advise a western blot from igenex (most other labs do inadequate tests). Most docs won't give antibiotics without tests-see comment:.
