Depends on severity: Risks are low if kidney fuction is reasonable & should be discussed with nephrologist & OB dr. Kidney infections/pyelonephritis are associated with pre-term labor so baby comes early & is small & may need nicu care but usually ok. High infant mortality associated with pregnancy for women on dialysis, < if dialysis started after onset of pregnancy.Risk after kidney transplant low if function good.
