Tooth movement: Teeth are anchored to the bone of the sockets with tiny elastic fibers that enable them to move slightly (physiologic tooth movement). Those fibers act as "shock absorbers." Typically, this movement is minimal. Any mobility in the teeth can be a sign of periodontal disease that has to be diagnosed and treated by your dentist.
