It ok : U'r goal Vit D is above 30, but ideal levels from studies done on African tribes show levels to be 40-60 are the optimal. I don't necessarily feel u need the 50,000units weekly currently, but instead D3 3000units daily. The reason this is important because Vit D helps calcium get into the body and therefore get into the bone to strengthen their structure. Also there is some evidence with lowering blood pressure , plus lowering the risk of breast cancer recurrence in patients who may have had breast cancer in the past.

Yes: Calcium will help prevent osteoporosis. Vitamin d levels can be from 20-100 depending on lab.
