Depends: On the size of the cavity and your tolerance for minor discomfort. Worst case - you ask the dentist to stop and give you a shot of local anesthetic

Pain less: The use of dental lasers has provided many options and better dental services for the dental patient. Lasers cause less pain than regular high speed drills, less anxiety, faster procedure and more conservative treatment. Good choice and good luck.
