I WOUDLNT BET ON IT: HONEY IS A MIXTURE OF SUGAR AND OTHER COMPOUNDS. IT DOES HAVE ANTI-INFLAMMATORY AND ANTI-BACTERIAL PROPERTIES TO IT. HOWEVER, TAKEN ALONE IT CAN CAUSE A SPIKE IN YOUR SUGAR LEVEL AND CAUSE YOU TO GAIN WEIGHT. I ADVISE MY PATIENTS TO MAINTIN A LOW-GLYCEMIC DIET, EXERCISE FOR 60 MINS/DAY 4-5 DAYS/WEEK. MINIMAL ALCOHOL CONSUMPTION, 7-9 HRS/SLEEP, AND KEEP STRESS AT BAY.

Honey is sugar: Sugar is the enemy in our obesity epidemic. It is not fats. It is sugar. Plain and simple. Honey is 100% sugar calories and will not in any way help with weight loss.
