Depends.: Buspirone is not an antiemetic drug . It is used to alleviate anxiety however if anxiety causes nausea, this can be alleviated by Buspar (buspirone). Buspar (buspirone), unlike the Benzodiazepines, which are often used as anti-anxiety, takes a little longer to become effective.

A/W Dr. Callaghan.: If a person has nausea or emesis that is directly related to anxiety, then Buspar (buspirone) could indirectly reduce emesis by calming the individual.
